To experience the vocal melange of the Clams of Wisdom is to engage in a blend of multiple harmonies, acoustic interpretations, and even some a cappella magic. The Clams’ prism of sound refracts a spectrum of styles including folk, country, gospel, pop tunes, originals, and whatever they feel like singing at the time. The Clams have performed in one form or another in Maryland, Virginia and New Hampshire at cafes, schools, community events.
A note to parents of our younger fans:
Although not specifically a “Kids Group,” we do seem to have some appeal to the younger demographic, probably because we’re so silly. Children, as we all know, more easily and un-self-consciously enjoy singing along. We love this, and that’s why we sometimes like to do our “family friendly” shows! However, we do get just as silly for our older and more sophisticated Clam Heads. We usually try to keep it like the Bugs Bunny cartoons where the adults get it, and it just goes over the heads of the young ones. It’s probably best to say that for our “family friendly” shows we are Rated G. Our web page content and any show not specified as “family friendly” are Rated PG (or maybe PG-13).
